Post-Trade Processing

FIS solutions for capital markets help banks, broker-dealers and other financial institutions improve the efficiency, transparency and control of their trading and processing. Stream RIMS is a straight-through processing platform for international securities and provides highly configurable functionalities for trade capture, enrichment, clearing and matching, settlements, position management, P&L, accounting etc. Stream RIMS features multi time zone support for around the clock middle and back-office operations and connectivity to worldwide depositories and clearing houses.

Internship opportunity

We are offering an exciting six-month placement to join our Canary Wharf-based FIS RIMS architecture and management team as a developer, working on a Java-based web application in the area of financial settlement and processing.
You will be working with the team on an ongoing program of improvements to our software and processes and will be responsible for:
• Analysing and resolving risk issues raised by static code analysis
• Upgrading application programming interfaces (APIs)
• Prototyping for updated core functionality (will include research and design)
• General bug-fixing of core functionality within the software
• Working on the quality improvement program focused on enhancing application quality and automation, and reducing cost of development and delivery

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking motivated individuals with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills:
➢ Proactive, enthusiastic to learn, with a keen interest in software development
➢ Graduated from a computer science, financial or other numerate/technical discipline, with some exposure to Java
➢ Aspiring to develop valuable work experience at a leading fintech company
