About us

First things first. We’re big. Impressively and successfully big. We’re the world’s number one insurance brand, with some 102 million customers and 166,000 people globally. But big doesn’t mean impersonal or distant. Not in our world anyway. And big, we believe, isn’t necessarily best when it comes to graduate programmes. So we keep the numbers on our graduate programmes small. By keeping them small, you get real work and real responsibility, personal attention and undivided support, tailored development and ready access to senior leaders. What’s more, your ideas will be heard, your creativity will be seen, and you’ll have the chance to add your colour to our incredible business.

Investments Programme

Here at AXA, we have a small but elite Investment & Treasury team based in our London Head Office. As a team, we’ve around £10 billion of assets under management, and it’s our job to make sure that the AXA Group’s capital is invested in the best possible way to provide security for our policyholders and returns for our shareholders.

You’ll rotate through three placements on this three-year programme. While two of the placements will be in the Investment & Treasury team itself, the third can be in a different but relevant business area, like Finance or Risk. Throughout, you’ll gain practical experience and in-depth, up-to-the-minute knowledge of investments across a range of asset classes, including equity, credits, interest rates, property and alternative investments. If it’s something you’re keen to do, we’ll also support you – practically and financially – to study for your CFA examinations.

Who should apply

Let’s start by saying that we’re investing in you. In your potential, your future. So drive and ambition are an absolute must, and you’ll be determined to make the most of each and every opportunity that comes your way. We’d like you to have 2:1 degree in a numerical subject. A Master’s degree or relevant HE qualification would be a bonus. Understandably, you’ll need an impressive grounding in mathematics and a solid understanding of financial markets.
