Group Technology & Operations (GTO) pioneers technologies and re-engineers business processes to deliver innovative solutions and world-class client services. We develop, implement, maintain and protect business critical technology, and create the core systems that that process trades, assess risks and deliver data.

Your training
It all starts with an introduction to the world of Deutsche Bank and the technical and soft skills you’ll need to make an impact. Your training will continue throughout the summer as you work on live projects, learning first-hand how we deliver for our internal and external clients. Through a combination of classroom and on-the job training, you’ll discover how we create and implement technology solutions for the Bank. At every stage you’ll learn from our most senior leaders and network widely. And because our internships are a rich source of talent for the Deutsche Bank Graduate Programme, yours could also launch a career with us.

Your role
Today’s banking world is at the forefront of technological advances. Based in one of the world’s global financial centres, you’ll have the chance to apply your ideas to complex challenges and use your passion to drive change and push boundaries. Your tasks will vary according to your precise role. In Management you could be helping to bring people together across divisions and countries to deliver projects. In Analysis you’ll apply your communication and analysis skills to improve business processes. Development focuses on more technical skills such as coding, testing and software design. But whatever you’re doing, you’ll be a key member of the team, sharing your ideas and shouldering real responsibility. Your learning curve will be steep. But you’ll enjoy plenty of support from managers and mentors, as well as unparalleled global exposure.

The skills you’ll need
Although many roles focus on programming and design skills, you don’t need to be a technical expert to join Group Technology & Operations. We’re looking for people who combine broad business awareness with an aptitude for analysis. Just as important will be excellent communication skills, a strong client focus and a drive to deliver. We also look for the determination to learn quickly and build a long-term career as a business leader. Add the creativity and intellectual curiosity to solve problems in fresh, new ways, and you could soon be adding real value to our business.
