Credit Suisse is a forward-thinking financial services firm providing private banking, investment banking and wealth management services to clients worldwide. We’re a stable global bank with a long heritage in the financial services industry.

It’s not easy choosing the right career – or the right place to start that career – but if you spend a little time exploring, the decision gets easier. Many people who join Credit Suisse do so because of our culture. Credit Suisse appeals especially to intelligent and outgoing personalities who want to work in an atmosphere of co-operation and respect. It’s a different perspective on how a global bank should go about its business, but it works for us. It could work for you, too.

We need individuals who bring something personal, special and unique to the business. It’s not just that different jobs call for different skills and aptitudes; the creativity, flair and agility that make Credit Suisse successful flow directly from the special mix of people who work here.

The Position

Our Autumn Internship Program is a paid internship that runs for 10 weeks from the end September to early December, and is open to finalists, graduates and post-graduates who are interested in gaining an insight into working in Investment Banking. You will be assigned to a business group throughout the internship and will be staffed as though a regular member of staff giving you a great opportunity to experience how it would be to work with us as a full time employee.

Training and Development

You will receive a week of hands on training in your first week. Throughout the program you will be provided with ongoing training and support. We provide a rich development environment by combining formal learning, on-the-job practice and mentoring. You will receive exposure to senior managers, colleagues and peers across the bank at all levels, which will add new insights and fresh perspectives to your understanding of what we do, and what you need to do well at Credit Suisse. We will continually assess your performance and if you are successful, we may offer you a full time position to join us in 2015.

What We Look For

You will have completed or be due to complete a Bachelors, Masters or PhD qualification (or equivalent) in any discipline. Applicants must be available for the full 10 weeks and be able to start full-time employment in July 2015.

While our employees have a wide range of experiences, interests and degrees, they share an intellectual curiosity, a desire to achieve and a pattern of excellence and achievement. Whatever your background, you’ll need to be:

  • Client-focused and committed to developing creative solutions
  • A leader who naturally attracts followers
  • A critical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills
  • A self-starter who is able to envision long-term goals and ways to attain them
  • A collaborative team member who builds excellent relationships
  • An articulate communicator who also recognizes the importance of listening
  • Analytical and logical, with raw intellectual ability
