Simply put, Red Gate makes award-winning, ingeniously simple tools for IT professionals -tools our customers love. As a Graduate Technical Marketer, your job is to tell the world.

We have two marketing opportunities for graduates. If you join our central marketing team, you’ll find yourself writing press releases, adverts, video scripts, even entire websites, to show off the brilliant things Red Gate does, and you’ll analyse how your work is performing.

Alternatively, working within one of our divisions you’ll get inside our customers’ heads by developing a deep understanding the technologies they use, and issues they face. You’ll then use this knowledge to devise, manage and analyse marketing campaigns for our products.

In either role, you’ll mastermind promotional campaigns for some of the best loved software in its field.

Let us know if you have a preference for either role in your covering letter. If you’re not sure which role best suits you, that’s no problem. Just apply below and we’ll explain more about both roles at interview so we can work out which one you might be best suited to. All you have to do now is send us a covering letter and a C.V.

What makes you a Red Gate technical marketer?

• You know what makes people tick and you put it to work in your writing (which is superb).
• You have outstanding analytical skills. You need to know how your work is performing and you’ll crunch the numbers yourself to find out.
• You love technology and grasp technical concepts easily. You can bring out the excitement in a piece of software for database backups, and make someone else feel it too.
• We’ve given interviewees free iPads, planned crop circles, and even sent a customer into space – you’re already planning our next showstopper.

What experience do you have?

• A 1st or 2:1 in any degree subject.
• Strong analytical skills which you can point to on your CV -you’ve completed a piece of work that involved serious analysis. It could be an engineering project or a meticulously researched history dissertation. What matters is that you were thorough.

What would really help?

• Any previous writing experience would be an advantage– maybe for a student paper for example
• A demonstrable head for numbers -maybe an A Level in Maths or Physics for example.

What’s the package?

• All those lovely Red Gate perks.
• You’ll work about 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, with flexible hours.
• Salary is £25k, with a £2k signing bonus.
