SunGard’s Adaptiv suite of products provides enterprise-wide credit and market risk management and operations solutions for financial services institutions. The problems Adaptiv solves are inherently quantitative and rich in technical innovation. We combine sophisticated mathematical techniques with leading edge technologies, to address today’s demanding regulatory and reporting challenges in the financial environment. In the wake of the financial crisis these functions are crucial to the performance and stability of our clients.

SunGard is seeking graduates to join a growing team of Quantitative Developers, responsible for developing the Adaptiv Analytics product. Adaptiv Analytics is a highly engineered component capable of conducting complex financial risk calculations. Within Adaptiv and beyond it is positioned as SunGard’s primary risk calculation engine. The Adaptiv Analytics team has to provide the financial engineering skill set capable of maintaining, supporting and developing this calculation engine.

This skill set includes both those of a financial engineer requiring exceptional mathematical skills combined with software programming skills. The success of any activity within the team is successfully transferring financial engineering requirements into highly performing software through coding within the Analytics framework.

Our graduates will play a major role in promoting our solutions internally and externally. After gaining experience and knowledge of our solutions, they will be expected to support the process of selling our solutions to prospects and developing our relationships with clients.

Successful candidates can expect to gain experience in C# and through working on a variety of projects, will learn about new financial instruments, models and regulatory requirements. Projects may also bring about opportunities to meet with clients/prospects and engage in discussions regarding their business requirements and solutions sought.
