Nearly 4,000 employees work together to achieve our ambition to be an industry-leading risk management organisation.

In an increasingly complex environment, risk management is fast-becoming one of the most sought after places to build a career within the banking world. Risk is relied upon to help shape the strategy of the Bank and the wider industry agenda.

Your training
Join us here as an Analyst and you’ll learn how we safeguard the Bank’s every interest, and help us manage our exposure on both a national and international level.

Your intensive training starts with an invaluable induction that will give you broad business, technical and product knowledge. Our senior leadership will share their vision for Deutsche Bank with you and bring to life our culture, values and beliefs. You’ll gain a thorough grounding in Risk fundamentals and receive coaching from leading internal and external consultants. Meanwhile, teamwork exercises and a schedule of networking events will help you start building vital business relationships and lasting friendships with future colleagues. Your training will conclude with your first case-study presentation to a panel of risk managers.

After that, expect to benefit from some of the best technical, professional and soft-skills training around. Fast-paced, interactive and ongoing, you’ll work alongside, and learn from, our most senior leaders. You’ll have continuous opportunities to develop, both on the job and through structured training. It’s a combination that will equip you to make an early impact on what we do best – generating inventive, creative solutions for our clients.

Your role
Based in one of the world’s global financial centres, you’ll join an area of Risk that has a specific business focus. Your rotations will include time within one of our international credit rating centres, ensuring you develop fundamental skills to build your career on.  Overall you are given a broad exposure to the Risk division and a clear understanding of who we are and what we do.

Your day-to-day duties will be hands on whether you are preparing credit analysis documents used to support lending decisions or stress-testing the Bank’s daily liquidity buffers. It won’t be long before you’re a fully integrated member of the team, sharing your ideas and taking on some real responsibilities. It won’t always be easy, but you’ll be properly supported by managers and mentors, and the experience and unparalleled global exposure you gain will prepare you well for your future career.

The skills you’ll need
We welcome applications from all academic backgrounds – particularly Business, Economics, Mathematics and Engineering. We’re especially interested in people with a passion for statistical analysis and if you’re comfortable creating and using complex mathematical models that would be a plus too. Add the creativity and intellectual curiosity to solve problems in fresh, new ways, and you could soon be adding real value to our business and building a long-term career as a leader in our global bank.
