Finance oversees all the financial details of Deutsche Bank globally. There are Finance teams dedicated to each of the Bank’s core banking divisions, as well as Group Tax, Group Finance, Treasury and Investor Relations.

You’ll develop in-depth understanding of the sound financial principles that govern the way Deutsche Bank does business. That means collaborating with colleagues around the world to negotiate the increasingly complex regulatory environment and to respond to changes in global banking.

Your training
Join us here as an Analyst and you’ll be able to build an excellent foundation for a career in finance. You can expect to work across a wide range of finance disciplines and there will be plenty of exposure to live projects. Your training starts with an invaluable induction that will give you broad business, technical and product knowledge. Our senior leadership will share their vision for Deutsche Bank with you. You’ll gain a thorough grounding in Finance while a schedule of networking events will help you start building vital business relationships. We’ll also introduce you to our financial operations centres in Manila and Mumbai where we re-engineer and standardise our core processes.

After that, expect to benefit from some of the best technical and soft-skills training around. Fast-paced, interactive and ongoing, it will include insights into everything from fixed income, equity and foreign exchange, to commodities, emerging markets, alternative investments and hedge funds. At the same time, you’ll work alongside, and learn from, our most senior leaders. It’s a combination that will equip you to make an early impact on what we do best – generating inventive, effective solutions for our clients.

Your programme
The programme will last 12 months in total, with 4 rotations each lasting 3 months. Based in one of the world’s global financial centres, you’ll work at the heart of a progressive business, rotating between teams and tackling projects to broaden and deepen your business and technical knowledge. Expect to build an overview of our multifaceted division along with a rich network of international contacts. We’ll also assist you in acquiring the professional qualifications your role requires. Your day-to-day tasks will vary according to your precise role. You might partner with the business on issues such as performance, risk and costs. Or prepare accurate and timely financial information for shareholders, creditors, regulatory authorities and audits. But whatever you’re doing you’ll be a key member of the team, sharing your ideas and shouldering real responsibility. Along the way, you’ll enjoy plenty of support from managers and mentors, and unparalleled global exposure.

The skills you’ll need
We expect a strong interest in finance developed during studies in a business-related or numerate discipline. The ability to digest complex financial and regulatory information is essential to success. Ready to be accountable for your own decisions, you’ll demonstrate rigour and real professional integrity. However you’ll also need flexibility and financial flair, as well as a high level of initiative and the ability to work as part of a team. We also look for the determination to build a long-term career as a leader in our global bank. Add the creativity and intellectual curiosity to solve problems in fresh, new ways, and you could soon be adding real value to our business.
