Business Analysis is the practice of enabling change in an organisational context, by defining needs and recommending solutions that deliver value to stakeholders. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Business Analyst to join our Chichester office to provide analytical support for our UK Retirement Administration business across a portfolio of strategic and regulatory projects. Maximising the efficiency of business processes and technology, you will join a team that plays a central role in striving to become a trusted centre of excellence for senior stakeholders and collectively takes ownership for the delivery of appropriate solutions.
Key duties will include;
•Use standard techniques to investigate, analyse and document requirements
•Model use cases
•Develop user stories
•Document functional and non-functional requirements
•Identify stakeholders and build good working relationships with them
•Model simple processes
•Build simple data models
•Follow a defined analysis approach and appreciate the rationale for the approach
•Understand the portfolio of products that the team is responsible for maintaining and enhancing
•Where required, undertake rigorous acceptance testing for the delivery of product enhancements
Training and development for this newly created graduate position will include relevant on the job training from a supportive team including being mentored by an experienced Business Analyst. You will also have the opportunity to work toward achieving the BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis in an off-site classroom study setting.
Requirements and skills;
•Minimum of 300 UCAS points, minimum 2:1 honours degree expected or obtained ideally in a numerical or semi- numerical degree (equivalent qualifications are accepted)
•Understanding of systems development lifecycles, approaches and changes
•Knowledge of principles of data protection and disability access
•Knowledge and an interest of Retirement Consulting & Retirement Administration as well as respective industry trends, market conditions and general business concepts
•Willingness to complete relevant professional qualifications
•Ability to work as part of a team and within a collaborative environment
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills
•Relationship building skills and understanding of customer service principles
•Work well under pressure and strong time management skills
•Exceptional attention to detail ensuring quality and delivery in line with deadlines
•Strong numerical, analytical and problem solving skills
•Ability to maintain a good work-life balance
•Demonstrate a good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows & Microsoft Office Suite (ideally including MS Project and MS Visio)
