A position as a Summer Analyst in our London office offers exposure to high profile mergers and acquisitions and financing transactions across a range of industries. It will also give you exposure to senior RBC Capital Markets professionals and clients. An insight into the working life of a first year analyst is an invaluable experience if you want to pursue this career.

Summer Analysts will gain hands-on experience within a division of the bank and career-building mentorship. Every year we recruit successful applicants into our London office that convert to our full-time Analyst programmes the following year. There are opportunities in many areas to suit the interests of driven and focused students.

Training & Development

You will receive both class-room and e-learning based training, as well as mid and end-of-summer reviews as well as constructive feedback from your business manager throughout your placement.

The programme also features a Capital Markets Speaker Series – regular information sessions given by our leading market professionals. There are also several educational and social events throughout the eight week programme.

Great care and resources have been devoted to ensure that at the end of the programme you have a solid understanding of the elements necessary for a successful career at RBC Capital Markets.

What do we look for?

We look for well-rounded individuals with outstanding academic records, proven analytical skills, a demonstrated interest in finance and a history of participation in extracurricular activities. Other essential qualities we look for include strong oral and written communication skills, proven leadership capabilities, initiative, and the ability to play a key role as a team member in a fast-paced and challenging work environment.

Fluency in a second European language is not required, but would be an advantage.
