e-Commerce at ICAP

The ICAP Global e-Commerce team offers a complimentary service to the voice brokers operating within the Global Broking division, offering advisory services and promoting innovative solutions both internally and externally to customers.

There are a number of electronic and hybrid solutions that ICAP currently operate to offer the client base a choice of trading options and there is a large programme of work now in flight to rollout Fusion, a state of the art front end solution that will eventually have the capability to distribute all Global Broking products.

e-Commerce is made up of three core teams based in EMEA, Asia and Americas and each team is split into two components, Product management and Sales Account Management. There is also a Global UX and Design team based in London reporting into Global e-Commerce but providing services to the wider ICAP group.


This role will see you act as a client sales person with the specific goal of increasing usage of the ICAP’s suite of hybrid trading platforms. You will need to successfully manage client relationships and develop new business opportunities from within the company’s user community. As part of the Sales team you will meet regularly with clients promoting new initiatives, discussing product and new opportunities in our ever changing market place.

Product Managers

A product manager’s role is to think and to challenge. This role is where ideas are born and solutions and delivered for both the brokers at ICAP and independent eSolutions. They work on the initial concept, design, management and eventual delivery of the product as well as working closely with the sales and technology teams to ensure the solution meets the requirement. As with sales there is close interaction with brokers and management across the specific business they cover.

We have summer internship opportunities available in our e-Commerce business, working alongside the Sales, Product Management and Development teams, with a specific focus on the Business Intelligence Unit (BIU).

BIU aims to deliver a proactive and consistent view of all relevant MI data to the global stakeholders, leveraging tools such as Qlikview to identify where there are gaps in market/product performance or opportunities for growth.  Working in this team you will use your programming and problem solving skills to contribute to the on-going improvements in Business Intelligence analytics.  In doing so you will gain insight into the challenges faced in building functional BI, the commercial use of analytics and financial markets but also understand how BI operates within the wider team such as sales, product, marketing and end users (senior management/brokers/traders).

Our 8-week structured internship starting in June allows you to experience our business and culture first hand as an active member of our team. The Programme also includes;

Who are we looking for?

A proficiency or knowledge of programming languages such as C++ or Excel VBA, as well as programming tools such as Qlikview are beneficial.
