We serve businesses ranging from small enterprises to large multinationals in more than 60 markets worldwide. We provide our commercial customers with a range of banking services including overdraft and loan facilities, payments and cash management, trade and receivables finance and syndicated loans. We have a particular focus on companies that aspire to grow domestically and internationally, so we typically look for people who are passionate about growing a commercial business.

This programme appeals particularly to individuals who are self-starters, highly driven, passionate about growing commercial business and have high levels of integrity. Over two years, you’ll help serve our customers and ensure we meet their needs. Through four six-month placements in different areas, you’ll experience our commercial business in its entirety, covering our commercial clients, as well as specialist areas such as Payments and Cash Management, Trade and Credit Risk. This will be backed up with a wealth of training and development opportunities, including support to study for a professional qualification, a graduate buddy, a dedicated programme manager and access to senior business leaders through regular development events. In this way, you will learn about client satisfaction, the impact of governance and risk management, you’ll work on key products and have the chance to oversee business projects.

On completion of the programme you could move on to managing your own portfolio of SME customers or supporting relationship managers who meet the needs of our MME and large corporate customers.

To be considered for the programme, you will:

  • Have a 2:1 honours degree or above (predicted or gained in any discipline)
  • Have 300 UCAS points or equivalent (excluding General Studies)
  • Have a grade B or above in both Mathematics and English at GCSE or equivalent
  • Be nationally mobile
  • Previous customer service or sales experience would be an asset
  • Be willing to progress into key roles in Commercial Banking at the end of the programme
