For chartered accountants, the charity and not-for-profit sector presents a unique challenge – one that simply cannot be contemplated without special knowledge, experience and empathy.

Since its foundation, Buzzacott has been involved with the sector and has grown alongside it, developing the skills needed to advise on structure, governance and accounting in a different and changing regulatory environment.

Corporate and Business Services Team
The Corporate & Business Services team support businesses at every stage and under all conditions – from a standing start to the size at which it needs an audit and beyond. The team provide the flexibility and responsiveness of a small firm, together with the wide range of services and support that you would expect from a large firm.

Support & Training

The Firm is a member of SWATuk, a training consortium, who provide a number of courses that are designed to provide you with the maximum benefit from your practical experience. At Buzzacott, you’ll play a part in the firm’s success from day one – allowing you greater recognition, higher visibility and the opportunity to take on real responsibility at an earlier stage in your career.

Buzzacott offer graduates a contract of employment that includes a comprehensive, fully supervised training programme for the ACA qualification which extends over a period of 36 months. A closely monitored and structured programme of tuition is provided by a top firm of external tutors. Training consists of a combination of courses at the tutors’ offices, private study and regular tests, as well as on the job training. Paid study leave is granted and course and examination fees are paid for first attempts.

From the moment your training begins you will be assigned to a Manager who will act as your Counsellor. They will monitor and support your professional and personal development and monitor your ICAEW exam success. Other partners and senior staff are also available to discuss any problems that may arise and offer guidance; in addition the tutors at SWATuk provide support and counselling.
