London Summer Internship (for penultimate year students only)

Our ten-week Summer Internship programme is an excellent way of gaining a better understanding of the nature of our business and the culture of our firm in an Analyst role. Specifically, our aim for your internship with us is for you to receive firsthand, in-depth knowledge of the business, gain practical Analyst experience, understand Lazard’s culture and working style, and for us to provide an excellent networking opportunity with bankers of all levels of experience. Our programme commences in late June and is open to undergraduate or postgraduate students in their penultimate year of study.

Role and Responsibilities

Interns will be assigned to a number of sector or product teams for the duration of the ten-week programme, ensuring a broad experience by providing exposure to different teams, bankers and clients. You will be involved in real work for real clients, so not only will you gain invaluable practical experience, you will have exposure to a network of senior finance experts who will be on hand to share their experiences with you and to offer you support and guidance.

Training and Development

You will be assigned an Analyst “buddy” to coach you throughout the internship, and a Managing Director mentor to give you further insight into Lazard, and a potential career within Investment Banking. As part of the ten-week internship, you will attend one week of technical training before joining your team and will also receive follow-up technical and presentation skills training during the programme.

A Lazard Summer Internship can lead to a full-time placement offer for the following year’s Analyst program. During the final week of the internship, you will be asked to give a ten-minute presentation to a panel of senior bankers. Your presentation, along with your performance during the internship, will determine if an offer will be extended to you.
