Capita has announced that it will acquire the consultancy and resourcing operations of Work Group plc in a trade and assets deal.
The deal will strengthen recent Capita acquisition ThirtyThree and create the UK’s leading employer branding agency.
Capita will also acquire Work Group’s boutique candidate management and assessment operation, based in Colchester, which has a particular focus on graduate recruitment. This business will become part of Capita Resourcing, complementing an existing strength in the graduate recruitment market and providing a platform for further growth.
Work Group plc operations currently provide employer branding and marketing to a range of high profile clients. This capability and experience will enable the integrated ThirtyThree team to expand their offer to both sets of clients and to expand into new areas of the marketplace.
Nicola McQueen, Managing Director of Capita Resourcing said, “This acquisition is an important step for Capita in building the UK’s leading specialist agency in recruitment and employee communications. It brings together fantastic people who know how to work with high profile, multi-national brands and who share a belief in insight-led creativity and innovation.”
Work Group’s Group managing director, Rose Colledge added, “This represents a tremendous opportunity for our teams in the UK and internationally. We are really excited by the prospect of combining our skills and expertise with those of our new colleagues at Thirty Three and Capita. The scale and resources of the broader Capita group can only enhance our offer to clients and we are very much looking forward to exploring all the possibilities that this will bring.”
The transaction will complete on Thursday 31 December 2015 subject to final approval by Work Group shareholders.
