PwC announced today the launch of a new work experience programme for Year 12 students, which aims to increase the diversity of its student intake and promote greater social mobility.
The Business Insight Week will see its first cohort of 50 start in offices across the UK in August 2014, allowing those still at school access to a professional services working environment and the chance to develop their employability skills.
Paul Cleal, partner at PwC, said: ‘Diversity of thought is key to our business and it is fundamental that we identify talented individuals from a broad pool of students. We believe the Business Insight Week goes some way to helping us do this by widening access to our organisation to students who, in the past, may not have had the awareness, opportunity, or the exposure to professional services and firms like PwC.’
This announcement comes after recent news that PwC are also to offer a record level of graduate jobs this year.
