A global investment management firm and a stockbroking partnership based in Peterborough, UK are the proud employers of the winners of the first CISI annual Risk and Compliance Professional Awards 2013.

Kerry Anyim, Head of Operational Risk, Schroders and Natalie Howman, Compliance Officer, Vartan & Son received their trophies from CISI Chairman Alan Yarrow, Chartered FCSI(Hon) at the CISI’s London annual dinner.

The CISI Professional Forum Committees were looking for professionals who have shown outstanding achievements and qualities in their respective areas. The winners were selected on the basis of their achievements and all CISI members were given the opportunity to nominate.

Kerry Anyim won the CISI Outstanding Risk Professional Award and was nominated by Sophie Dupre, Head of Operational Risk at Barings. Sophie said: ‘Kerry is a talented, hands-on, hard-working risk manager with a brilliant career ahead of her. I am very pleased that the CISI recognised her achievements.’

Natalie Howman ACSI won the CISI Outstanding Compliance Professional Award and was nominated by Andrew Vartan Chartered FCSI, CEO of Vartan & Son. Andrew said: ‘This is a fantastic achievement for someone who has worked tirelessly within her department and we are delighted that Natalie has now got the recognition that she deserves from her peer group.’

Next year’s awards will be open from September 2014.

A collection was made for the Salmon Youth Group after a thought-provoking speech from its Director, Sam Adofo and a total of £1,786 was raised which will go towards helping young people in Bermondsey and Southwark. The evening was sponsored by BNP Paribas.
