The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) Educational Trust is offering schools and colleges that teach its qualifications to full time students a bursary for up to two students annually.
The bursary scheme, sponsored by the CISI Educational Trust, is for 16-19 year olds in state schools or colleges undertaking CISI qualifications.
The scheme aims to cover travel and lunches for a maximum of two pupils per school/college teaching CISI qualifications per academic year, a maximum of 30 weeks at £30 a week per student, a total of £900.
The CISI Educational Trust has introduced the bursary to assist selected students taking CISI qualifications who would have benefited from the former Government EMA scheme, withdrawn in 2011.
Ruth Martin, CISI Managing Director, said: ‘Our Educational Trust is very pleased to be able to step in to help fill the funding gap left by the EMA scheme for schools and colleges teaching our qualifications. We have only recently started working in schools and we wish to help identify students showing motivation and commitment while working towards their CISI qualification.’
