According to research carried out by Orion Partners, over a quarter of HR departments are ineffective.
The survey of senior HR professionals found that 26% considered their HR function to be ineffective. Over half of those surveyed admitted there are no mechanisms in place to evaluate the effectiveness of HR.
37% felt that the purpose and values of their HR function were poorly defined. Both of these weaknesses were considered to be the main reasons behind the ineffectiveness of some HR departments.
