The most frustrating aspect of job-hunting is the lack of communication from recruiters, according to the results of a recent poll.
Sixty per cent of the poll’s participants felt this to be the case, with a further 29% claiming to be most annoyed about not receiving feedback once they had been shortlisted for a position.
Seven per cent find automatically generated responses the most frustrating feature, while four per cent are frustrated by other facets, including the requirements to complete lengthy applications forms.
The poll, taken by 271 people on the LinkedIn page of online recruiter webrecruit, was designed to examine the ways in which the recruitment process has changed.
The findings reflect the current reliance on mass communication of recruiters, which has resulted in a fall in candidate care.
