As reported by Marketing Week, Mondelez International, which owns Cadbury, and Mars are looking to recruit graduates from broad disciplines such as Business Studies.  By shifting recruitment to graduates from non-marketing backgrounds it is hoped there will be an increase in the number of graduates going on to become senior managers. Both graduate recruiters emphasise the importance of commercial awareness in young marketers.
