The latest figures of the annual IMRG Capgemini e-Retail Sales Index have revealed that online sales in November are up 18% from last year.

In total £8.4 billion was spent online – the first time since the launch of the index in 2000 that spending has topped the £8 billion mark for a single month.

Year-on-year growth in the m-commerce sector was at 309%  reflecting increasing consumer confidence in completing the shopping experience on smartphones and tablets, as well as improvement of usability on retailers’ mobile web pages and apps.
