Manchester Airport have unveiled plans for a Wold Logistics Hub.

If approved by Manchester City Council, the project will see a centre of 1.4 million sq ft created in the southern part of the Greater Manchester Enterprise Zone.

The centre could generate over 1,800 new jobs within 10-15 years.

The plans would capitalise on the high levels of exports from the industrial sector in the north-west. The terminal would combine with the World Freight Terminal to create an international logistics district.
