The majority of engineering bosses are unaware of the levels of financial support they can receive from the government for apprenticeships.

80% of engineering managers surveyed by Skills Solutions were completely unaware that wage incentives of £1,500 per candidate were available and that training is government-funded for 16-18 year olds.

Despite this, 87% of employers felt that apprenticeships were valuable and make ‘more motivated and satisfied employees’.
