I never receive e-mails from you

You may have requested an email from us, and it hasn't arrived.

The message may be the confirmation of successful sign up, a new password, or an e-Alert, but the reasons for it not appearing in your inbox will be the same.

The email may be on its way to you, but hasn't arrived in your inbox yet.

This is more likely to occur if you use a high volume email domain like hotmail, gmail or yahoo. The servers accepting mail in these domains have to work very hard purely because of the vast amount of email being sent through them all the time. Our message to you may just be in a queue waiting for transfer to your inbox.

Wait for up to an hour during busy times, and you may find the message for which you are waiting will arrive.

Is the email address to which we are sending the message correct?

The sub question to this is "Have you ever received an email from us since you registered?" If the answer to this sub question is "yes", then your email address is probably correct unless you've changed it since then. If you have never received an email message from us, please do double check the email address you gave us when you registered. If you can't log in and therefore can't check the email address, then send email to support telling us your full name, email address, university, course title and dates of attendance for security, and we'll check (and if necessary modify) your account for you.

Do you have an "invalid email address" message at the top of the menu when you log in?

When you log in to our site you may see a red message to the effect that 'your email address is invalid' in your account area. This message appears if we have tried to send you emails and six or more have 'bounced back' as undeliverable. This will normally be because you spelled your address incorrectly on sign up, but it can also happen if either your or our mail server is down for a time, on temporary DNS errors, or if your mailbox is full. Please check the 'my account' area and make absolutely certain your email address is correct. If it is, and you think your mail box may have been full or your mail server was not available for a time, then please contact us and we will remove the 'invalid' flag from your account manually.

Has your email provider put our email to you into a junk or spam folder?

Our message to you may well have arrived successfully, but has been incorrectly identified as unsolicited commercial email, in which case it will have been diverted from your inbox into a temporary holding area prior to being automatically deleted in a few days time.

Please check your junk mail folder for emails from insidecareers.co.uk. If you find any, you can normally click on them and specifiy that emails from this domain are not junk, and should always be put into your inbox.

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, some internet worms use insidecareers.co.uk as a 'spoof' from address when sending emails, so it may be best to only specify 'team@insidecareers.co.uk' and 'support@insidecareers.co.uk' as the safe 'from' addresses rather than the whole domain. We will most likely only ever send you emails from these two addresses.
