Along with our professional excellence, it’s the breadth and depth of our services that make us an industry recognised market leader.

Our investment consultants advise clients with every aspect of institutional investing, from strategy structure and implementation through to regular portfolio monitoring and risk management.

Become an investment analyst
Mercer has been a leading global provider of investment consulting services for the past thirty years, which is one of the reasons why joining us as an investment analyst will provide you with an unparalleled forum for developing your skills.

You’ll be involved in everything from producing investment performance reports to drafting investment strategies and assisting with fund manager selections. You’ll also gain exposure to our specialist teams. Under the guidance of an experienced, internationally recognised team, you’ll become highly skilled in advising clients on structuring and investing their assets.

What you’ll need
To succeed, you must be highly perceptive, communicative, driven and organised. You’ll be looking to be challenged by genuine responsibility, intellectual stimulation and ever changing client priorities.

You’ll need at least 300 UCAS points with a minimum B grade in an A level numerical subject and a 2.1 honours degree in a numerical/semi-numerical degree or equivalent.

Training & development
As an investment analyst you will study the Investment Management Certificate and then elect to study towards either the actuarial qualification or become a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder (CFA). You’ll be supported by Mercer in your studies by paying for your tuition and materials and providing generous study leave.

Our 18 month graduate development programme has been designed to identify and build on your existing strengths and includes a comprehensive induction, an exploration of the consulting business environment and a focus on equipping you with a range of skills you need to become an exceptional consultant. Your development doesn’t end at 18 months though. We’ll provide ongoing technical and professional training and assign you a performance development adviser.

Rewards
We offer competitive rewards, including a company pension, an innovative flexible benefits scheme, 24 days holiday (with the option to buy or sell up to 5 further days) and much more. Apart from the tangible rewards expected from one of the biggest consultancies of its kind, you’ll enjoy a working culture that recognises talent and is committed to your continued development.
