Our methods of study
Our own research showed that professional learners do not want traditional methods of teaching which simply aim to impart knowledge. Instead we designed a highly flexible convergent approach to learning. Initially, participants receive a comprehensive study pack, containing text-books, module guides and a study handbook. Further on-line learning resources augment the study pack. Delegates are encouraged to read these prior to attending the intensive 2-day workshops. During face-to-face classes, delegates discuss and challenge the subject matter with both the other course participants and with their tutors; all of whom are highly experienced sales staff in the own right. In the relative safety of the class room environment, delegates apply learning directly to their own company looking for improvements to current practices; an activity which can often reframe their way of thinking and certainly enhances skills.
After the workshop, delegates work closely with their tutors whilst completing any final reading and undertaking the assessed assignments. This gives participants the security of unlimited tutor support, whenever they need it. Alongside this, our administration team review individual progress, encouraging and cajoling as necessary to maintain high levels of motivation and retention.
