The role:
Many of our customers have very specialised requirements, all of which require a dedicated team to balance their needs with the demands of the business.

The essential focus of the function is on selling and marketing a diverse range of products, services and supply chain solutions. The commercial function encompasses the key areas of account management and customer liaison. You will develop a wide knowledge of products, processes, competitors, and most importantly, customer needs. Entering this function, you will also gain a broad understanding of economic factors and trends affecting our industry. Liaison with the Logistics, Technical, Manufacturing and Finance functions is all part of the day-to-day.

Commercial role
Most commercial opportunities are in Account Administration and Management with a minority in Marketing. In order to succeed in this area of the business, you will need a real desire to sell, couple with business
awareness, trouble-shooting and excellent communication skills. Alongside these, you will need to be able to prioritise effectively, grasp new concepts quickly and thrive under pressure.

Corus has the size and diversity to help tailor your career by providing real life projects from the outset and challenges that will be interesting, dynamic and relevant to your function. All candidates entering our Graduate Scheme will receive on the job and formal training (inc Professional Accreditation) as well as regular appraisals with managers to assess individual performance. Our structured training will ensure you learn about products, Corus as a whole and the function in which you are based through rotational placements alongside normal ongoing career progression.
