Trainee Patent Attorney - Electronics

The Job

There will be a good mix of work from large corporates and also some local clients. There will be a significant amount of drafting work, which we consider to be very useful in the early years in the profession, together with a variety of prosecution and more general work.

On the job training including a program of in-house seminars will be complemented by external training.

The position will be based in our Sevenoaks office, which provides the opportunity to combine countryside living with easy access to central London amenities.

The Person

We are looking for a Trainee Patent Attorney with the ability to deal with Electronics subject matter, including fields such as image processing, semiconductors, and the like. An Electronic Engineer, or alternatively a Physicist or Computer Scientist with engineering-related experience is likely to be suitable. Flexibility and the willingness to work in a broad range of subject matter are particularly desirable.

Our preference is for a candidate with existing technical expertise beyond first degree level, for example a few years industrial experience.
