Trainee Patent Attorneys

The Job

A successful patent attorney requires an in-depth knowledge of technology and the law, and first class communication skills. As a trainee patent attorney you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in these core areas. Your training will cover all aspects of patents and related disciplines. In addition to gaining the requisite legal knowledge, you will learn to capture and convey complex technical details in a clear and concise manner and to advise clients within a legal framework. You can expect a challenging and varied role, where your duties and responsibilities will expand as your knowledge and skills improve.

The Person

The successful candidates will have a background in engineering, preferably electrical/mechanical/electronics, and an academic record which demonstrates the intellectual ability and the commitment required to complete the training and qualification process. A practical interest in science, particularly technology, is essential.
