Corporate Finance

The Job

Capital is critical to every organisation in today’s economic landscape. It’s right at the heart of every strategic decision taken in the boardroom. Because if businesses can make the right decisions about capital — how to preserve it, how to raise it and how to invest it — they can maximise their competitive position.

You’ll help corporate clients and financial stakeholders see how their businesses could succeed in the future. And then you’ll work with them to make it a reality, advising the board and their executive team on how to meet — and exceed — the expectations of their stakeholders.

We offer two routes of entry: Corporate Finance and Business Modelling. Through our unique development programmes, we will equip you with the technical skills for complex financial analysis or operational modelling, and help you build the softer skills you’ll need for successful client relationships with corporates, private equity financiers, investment bankers and lawyers. You’ll also be coached on how to develop strong internal networks.

During your first few years in these departments, you’ll work hard: it’s fast-paced, high profile and high pressure, and there are often tight, strict deadlines.

But, as you grow your knowledge and experience, you’ll have the opportunity to become an expert in your chosen field and develop solutions for complex technical and strategic issues. And with plenty of support if you take professional exams, your career will be off to a flying start.

The Person

We’re much more interested in the kind of person you are and the things you’re naturally good at than what degree you studied at university. So we want you to be yourself and show us what you’ve got.

The qualifications we usually expect for entry to our programmes are:

• Grade B or above for GCSE Mathematics and English Language

• The number of UCAS points, or equivalent, required vary based on the programme you apply to.

• 2.1 honours degree in any Discipline
