IT Graduate Scheme
The Job
The first thing to say is that it’s not an IT scheme exclusively for IT people. If you’re thinking about a career in project management or business analysis (and, of course, IT), this is the scheme for you.
As you’re aware, first-class IT is the building block for every successful organisation. We need to make sure that we’re embracing tomorrow’s technology today. That our finger’s firmly on the technological pulse. We need to ensure that our systems are healthy and our structures robust. That IT is delivering for the tens of thousands of people we employ all over the world. That’s everything that makes our IT scheme so special. So, in the words of a recent IT scheme trainee, prepare yourself for variety – and lots of it.
Working on big, real world projects, you’ll pick up a desirable blend of technical, business and soft skills. From business analysis to people management. You’ll also have a mentor to help you through a programme of courses and training, plus the potential to spend some time overseas. Additionally, your personal development will be overseen by The IT Professional Development Framework (BCS Accredited), giving you a clearer idea of the direction you want your career to take.
On top of paid-for qualifications and a huge support network (including a mentor, line manager and buddy), you’ll enjoy some very impressive benefits.
The Person
We’ll start you off with a competitive salary, group incentives and a contributory pension scheme. Then, as your career really starts to take off, you’ll receive bonuses and BUPA and insurance discounts. As well as the drive and determination to build a challenging, rewarding career, you’ll need to have a minimum of a 2.1 degree in any discipline and at least 300 UCAS points (scheme dependant) or equivalent.
