IT Graduate Scheme

The Job

Supported by the Bank’s award-winning graduate development programme, you'll gain exposure to all aspects of IT delivery in the Bank through a system of structured training secondments throughout our 200-strong Information Systems and Technology department. Itıs a role that will see you working closely with internal customers across the organisation first gaining in-depth understanding of their often complex business needs, and then developing solutions that meet them as intelligently and effectively as possible.

While a technology background would be helpful, it is by no means essential; in fact, you could have a degree in any analytical or numerate discipline. More important to us are the intellectual ability, communication skills and business insight to work successfully with experts across a variety of fields.

After 18 months, all graduates attend a three-day residential professional development workshop. This provides the opportunity to reflect on progress so far, and to formulate a plan to focus your development for promotion to the next level.

The Person

Because our work is demanding and often high profile, we look for graduates with high levels of intellectual ability who can also demonstrate strong analytical and numeracy skills.
