Actuarial Internships

The Job

As an actuarial trainee, you will be providing advice and solutions to a diverse range of clients, addressing the full range of issues affecting corporate pension plans and trustees. You’ll start your career getting to grips with the complexities of calculating pension liabilities and will soon be comfortable performing complex analysis on membership data and drafting communications to clients. As your confidence and knowledge develop, you will become increasingly client-focused, advising on the design, funding and management of all types of retirement plans.

Within retirement, risk and finance consulting, there are a number of specialist areas that offer exciting career options, including governance and operations, scheme strategy and design, scheme buyouts, mergers and acquisitions and defined contribution schemes. A career in retirement, risk and finance will give you plenty of scope for development, whether you choose to become a lead consultant, head of a team or a technical specialist.

You will attend an induction on the first day of your internship which will equip you with the skills that you will be using over the next 8 weeks.

The Person

To join us, you must be perceptive and organised, somone who wants to be challenged by responsibility, intellectual stimulation and ever-changing priorities. You’ll need at least 320 UCAS points, including a grade B or above in A-level Mathematics and a 2:1 honours degree expected in a numerate or semi numerate degree discipline.
