Employer Profile

Think all actuarial graduate programmes are the same? Think again.
Forget any preconceptions you may have. A graduate role with Zurich will offer you a real job with responsibility from day one. You’ll also receive all the training and support you need to put you well on your way to a successful career with us.

Unlike many other world-leading financial services organisations, when you join Zurich you will quickly become an important member of a 60,000 strong team caring for customers in over 170 countries.

You deserve a graduate programme that recognises your strengths and provides opportunities tailored to you. That’s why we’ve made sure our two-year Graduate Development Programme provides a range of challenging and rewarding actuarial roles, responsibility and personal mentors to ensure you have the best possible start.

As an actuarial graduate you’ll be responsible for identifying, analysing and quantifying our financial risk and its consequences within Life or General Insurance. To do this, you’ll learn how to study historical data, assess current risks and create models to forecast the future. You’ll then apply these actuarial techniques to support critical commercial decisions and the creative management of our business. This could see you assist with product development, provide financial reporting and modelling, or analyse profitability within business segments.

This is your chance to develop whilst learning from a group of actuaries and analysts in a challenging and inspiring environment. You’ll be a key part of a respected team who will support you to become fully qualified within five years. Investing in you is something we will take very seriously. As well as receiving support from mentors and other qualified actuaries, you can also look forward to a full package, including study materials, tutorials and study leave.
