Assurance

The Job

Assurance has never played a more vital role in restoring and maintaining public confidence in the world’s capital markets.

Ernst & Young is one of the most trusted, respected and influential organisations in the industry. Our Assurance practice is built around our core audit delivery but also encompasses a wide range of Assurance services including Fraud Investigation & Disputes, Financial Accounting Advisory, Climate Change and Sustainability and Energy Trading Risk Management.

Our audit-based professionals have direct access to a huge variety of companies, and experience an introduction to business which is difficult to match. The opportunity to develop as an individual within audit means the experience you gain is unrivalled from day one. We help our clients by providing Assurance to key stakeholders, helping to create the confidence which enables those businesses to trade successfully. Identifying opportunities for those businesses to improve through enhanced risk management, better processes and procedures or through operational efficiencies broadens the experience for everyone and also provides significant added value to our clients.

When starting your Assurance career you can gain exposure to a broad range of industries or pursue a specific Financial Services audit role. As you progress you can look at developing an industry focus, work across a diverse range of audit clients or widen your experience in one of our specialist assurance services.

The Person

We’re much more interested in the kind of person you are and the things you’re naturally good at than what degree you studied at university. So we want you to be yourself and show us what you’ve got.

The qualifications we usually expect for entry to our Assurance programmes are:

• Grade B or above for GCSE Mathematics and English Language

• The number of UCAS points, or equivalent, required vary based on the Advisory programme you apply to.

• 2.1 honours degree in any Discipline
